*where neuroscience, mindful practice & your creativity collide*

Illustrative journaling is a skillful way to develop joy even if you feel there’s not an artistic bone in your body! Through the practice of paying attention to your life in small but significant ways based on neuroscience, practical mindfulness skills, and tapping into your creativity you can begin to see life through a different lens and reinforce all the positive things already happening right where you are!
In this 6-week series we will explore the evolutionary brain, our inherent negativity bias, and practical ways to rewire the brain and shift toward seeing life, your life, through a lens of authentic positivity.
Each class will include a short guided meditation, instruction, practical techniques to focus on authentic positivity, and an opportunity to connect with others. Optional practices to support our class time will be offered weekly.
Join me for this informative, virtual, creative journey! All artistic abilities welcome! Feel free to contact me for additional information at mindfulnessinpractice@rochester.rr.com

Outside of our time together plan on an hour or two outside of class to work on your weekly assignment (which, of course, is optional but encouraged).

What participants are saying….
“I truly loved how you facilitated an open space where people were welcome to be vulnerable. I felt comfortable and it was obvious that other people felt the same way. Showing us pages of your journal was helpful and fun. It was nice to see some samples. I like how you shared a method of finding simple pictures and borders, because most of us weren’t artsy by nature!”
“The first strategy of Intention, Awareness and Savoring was a nugget of gold for me.”
“My biggest take-aways were learning about negativity bias and finding a joyful practice that seems to just keep on giving!”
